When did marketing start feeling misaligned?
Maybe it was when performance began to outweigh meaning.
Or when persuasion replaced conversation.
Or when growth always seemed to come at a cost.

Many participants don’t join because they want new tactics. They join because they’ve been quietly asking:
“Why does this campaign feel wrong, even when it performs?”
“Why does slowing down feel risky?”
“Is the tension I feel in my work personal, or systemic?”

If you’ve sensed that something in the way we communicate, persuade, and grow doesn’t fully sit right, you’re not alone. This course begins in that tension. And the goal is not to offer a shortcut, but to explore what becomes possible when we trace those patterns to their roots and begin practising differently.

About The Course

Challenging the Logics of Modern Marketing
Traditional marketing is built on urgency, persuasion, optimisation, and growth at scale. Over time, these patterns have become normalised, even when they create pressure, disconnection, or ethical tension. This course is for those who are ready to examine these inherited logics more closely, and explore what responsible, relational practice could look like instead.
Tracing the Roots of Extraction
Together, we explore how colonial histories, power structures, and systems of dominance have shaped marketing as we know it. Not as abstract theory, but as living logics that still influence how we measure success, structure timelines, and communicate today. Understanding these roots helps us see what we’ve inherited and what we can choose to shift.
Practising Regenerative Alternatives
Through facilitated dialogue, somatic reflection, ecosystem mapping, narrative work, and a regenerative experimentation framework, participants test small, grounded changes in their real-life projects. The focus is on practice, moving from persuasion to participation, from extraction to relationship.
Learning in Relationship
The course unfolds as a live, 3-month cohort experience. Learning happens in conversations with facilitators and peers navigating similar tensions. This is a container for unlearning, reimagining, and building coherence between what you believe, how you communicate, and how you grow.

Course Overview
Over 3 months we'll gather for 2.5-hour sessions that combine deep learning with meaningful connection.

Our journey includes guided reflections, practical experimentation, and community dialogue.

Part 1: Uncovering the Roots
We begin by examining how marketing has been shaped by colonial history, systems of dominance, and white supremacy culture.

Participants explore how urgency, optimisation, individualism, and growth-at-all-costs show up not only in campaigns, but in internal processes, expectations, and performance metrics.
This phase builds shared language and critical awareness, grounding the work in historical and systemic context.
Outcomes: Recognise historical patterns, name inherited tactics, and begin your first regenerative experiment.

Part 2: Re-grounding and Reimagining
From critique, we move toward reorientation.Drawing from living systems thinking, regenerative principles, and Indigenous wisdom traditions, participants begin to see marketing as part of a broader ecosystem. We explore relationality, interdependence, pacing, and consent as practical design principles.
Outcomes: Reclaim narrative power, apply wisdom traditions, and root your practice in relational ways of working

Part 3: Practicing the Shift
The final phase centres on application.

Using a regenerative experimentation framework, participants test small, grounded shifts in their own projects. This may include ecosystem mapping, narrative redesign, rethinking campaign structure, or changing internal decision-making rhythms.

The focus is not on building the “perfect” alternative, but on building confidence through practice.
Outcomes: Gain applied tools, reframe research and leave with actionable feedback on your real-life project.

How do scholarships work?
We use a redistributive pricing model, which means that every participant who joins through the Redistributing Access tier directly helps fund scholarship seats for others.

Who is eligible for a scholarship?
We’re offering a limited number of scholarships, and these seats are reserved for applicants who are experiencing genuine financial hardship that wouldn’t allow them to join the program without support.

We ask that you request a scholarship only if it's truly needed, so we can extend this opportunity to those with the least access.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
You can request a scholarship as part of your application form by selecting the relevant option and briefly sharing your situation. We review all applications once they are submitted, but we will have to confirm whether you are eligible for a scholarship after the applications for the course are closed and the number of scholarships available is determined.
